Winter Haven broadcasting legend Brother Joe Fisher returns as the 5:30-9:00am announcer. He’ll combine a variety of news, weather and traffic information with the best gospel music … everything you’ll need to help you on your way to work. Joining Brother Joe is the morning show crew of Keith Solis and Deitra Miles. Plus, you never know who will stop by to visit from the most respected ministers in the nation to today’s hottest gospel artists like Kirk Franklin, Donnie McClurkin and Vickie Winans.

Derek Monette will make the drive home much more enjoyable with Polk County’s hottest mix of R&B from yesterday and today. Whether it’s Whitney Houston or Mariah Carey to Earth, Wind & Fire, Aretha Franklin or The Drifters, Derek will tell you the “inside” story of most songs.

Family Radio 1490 also features a mix of inspirational messages and ethnic programming. We are also proud to be the exclusive home of Bethune College Football every Saturday and Auburndale High School Football every Friday night during the season.
